M3 Clear Bra and Bonnet Stripes

So I've had my 04 Chili red MCS since July and I absolutely love it! Minus a leak in the oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket, the only other problem I have is cosmetically on the exterior. The M3 clear bra that the previous owner put on it has cracked the bonnet stripes in a straight line right where it ends on the top of the hood. I want to replace the bonnet stripes, however to do this I have to remove the bra, which I've heard is a labor intensive job. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it worth even doing it or having someone do it for me? Thanks for your input!

I don't have any experience with this sort of bra.......but I would imagine it could be removed with a heat gun, glue & tar remover & a lot of time & patience. Same with the bonnet stripes.

To save the protective bra, maybe you could cut round the stripes (very carefully), take them off & get a new set applied.

I've worked with clear Bra and the strips. It can be a lot harder than it may look. Do you know what tip of film is on the car.If its 3M and you have it profetionly done and the rest of the bra is in good shape they should be able to remove strip only and replace the clear bra just in that area.

I appreciate the responses. I believe it is the 3M bra but that's just going on what the previous owner told me. I'll have someone get me an estimate and take a look at it from there. Thanks again for your help!
