Is my nose too busy?

I have a dilemma regarding the nose of my Chilli Red MCS.

Currently I have:

- Chromeline grills, black bonnet stripes and two spots.

I've just bought a JCW carbon scoop to replace the colour coded one, now i'm toying with what is the best look for the nose of my MINI

the black aero grill would complement the black stripes and scoop very well. it has to be done!

Tough one.... to be honest it looks fab as it is

If you really want a carbon scoop though, i'd be tempted to fit an aero grille to add more black, then the only chrome left will be the lamps.

I would personally remove the spots, stripes and then put on the JCW scoop.

I don't like the spots and the stripes because they make the mini look more rally/toy
I've seen many red minis with aero grills and black scoop. Black on red looks very classy yet powerful.

no stripes, no spots, keep the colour coded scoop and fit an aero grill with colour coded surrounds and black center.

that should make it look pretty clean!

I couldn't agree more.

It's a Mini Adventure.

I see the voting is torn between my two prefered options. On the one hand I agree it does look very good as it is, I also don't much like all the chrome on the front end - I certainly wouldn't have spec'd a chrome-line exterior if i'd bought it new.

I'll put the JCW carbon scoop on and post a pic at the weekend.

I like it. Think the JCW grill and black scoop would look good. You could then try the spot light covers, they're black and only £10, could be a nice finishing touch! And if not, the're only a tenner! Got to keep the spots though, I always think the front looks a bit naked without then!!

I think it looks nice, although I think that the Aero Grill is now needed! Looks odd with the Chrome now.

What, like these ones sat next to my desk?

I'm going to trial fit them with the spots removed first and see what I think, the upper grill needs cutting if I want to keep them so once it's done there's no changing my mind.

Then it will look perfect in my eyes! I also think you are right in trial fitting first. Looking forward to the pictures!

Had a bit of a 'mare with fitting the aero grills, so much so that I haven't!

The mounting brackets for the spots are riveted to the bonnet and to make matters worse the bolts that mount the spots to the brackets are rusted solid. So i'd have to keep the spots no matter what, but at the moment I can't get them off to change the grills.

So, to aid my decision making, i've done a very rough photoshop. I'm undecided, i think i prefer the black but my girlfriend wants to keep the chrome:
