roof racks

Now that the weathers getting better me and my friends r planning a few road trips/camping holidays, only thing is my MINI aint that great at fitting people and stuff in, so im looking at a roof rack.
i have seen a few roof racks about on ebay but never seen one on a MINI,
and after checking on mine i really cant see how it would attach.
can you actualy get roof racks of MINIs? and if so how much do they cost and how do they fit on?
cheers.

doh ! , then it that case i think you should look into the mont blanc system, as its cheaper than the manufacturers and dosn't require any drilling.

Hi guys, first post, bought but not fitted a while ago the rear rack low rise system to put mine and my wifes bikes on for trips etc. How do i get round the spoiler issue or has anybody fitted one of these with the spoiler and without problems ??

As a last resort i would like to know how to remove the spoiler on the mini so it would fit properly and then replace after my journey as i wouldn't be doing it often. (A step by step guide on how to remove spoiler would be handy as well)

Cheers

i though the roof rack was ok with a rear spoiler ?? all it says in the bmw accessory book is that its not suitable for vehicles with emergancy wheel, tow bar or jcw tuning kit,

going by the haynes manual it says the rear spoiler is bonded on and it says:

"removing the spoiler invloves the use of speacialist body work tools including hot air guns, adhesive etc"

hope this helps?

I have a Thule roof rack system that I use for my Mountain Bike and Ski Equipment.

Mini One/Cooper 3-d 02- roof bar system details. Thule roof bar kit.

Something like this - I bought mine off eBay - much cheaper and they do crop up now and then!!!
