really wanna change me grill! can i have some help?!!

hi guys! wondering if you can help me?

i have a 2001 mini cooper in pure silver with the chrome slat grille option, i have seen various bits n bobs around the net and in magazines advertising mesh grille sets that stick over the existing grille but these are obviously for the black slatted ones as with a chrome slatted one it would like strange.

what i wanna know is, is there anywhere i can get a pure replacement mesh grilleset ala aero stylie that will fit a standard cooper body?

i have just replaced mine - i used the JCW grille kit from lohens. the upper grille is easy but the lower grille requires some serios modification for it to sit right as they are designed for the deeper aero bumper.

that said - if you are handy and dont mind a bit of work then its worth it. i found an online guide i can send you if you wish.

there may be a stright fit kit from somewhere but alas i am unsure

Cheers mate! I have seen that one yea but I'm not great and don't wanna risk ruinin a kit. Am really lookin for a straight fit kit! Lol

Don't think a straight fit mate; the bottom bit takes a bit of time and effort... check out a thread ive started from my profile, if your thinking of changing it.

thanx, i saw this before but that price is pretty mental! dont ya think? its a shame there arent more options available other than the black mesh.....
