Looking for a bit of advice really, the Wipac spotlights (despite being "Staneless steal" and looked after by myself) have gone rusty. I have cleaned them to an acceptable standard but recently a stone chipped my front drivers' side lamp so I am looking for a complete new set. Questions: 1. Has anyone come across or even better owns a set of these RDX 5" BLACK Spot lamps? 2. If so, are they any good compared to the Wipacs? 3. Also, will these fit my already fitted Wipac brackets? Thanks for any replies ![]() Guinness World Record Holder 'Largest Parade of MINI Cars' 28th March 2007

hey dan, i was looking at these before i bought the chrome 1s, i kinda bottled it but wish maybe i had bought the black 1s as my chrome 1s have already started to rust in places which isnt good considering they have only been on the car a few weeks. if you have a dark coloured mini i think they will look good, especially against red.

How about these? I noticed that SVC (Staffordshire Vehicle Components) now do 50w Halogen BMW MINI Driving lamps with rust proof stainless steel bodies with or without Mk1 (1st Gen) stainless steel mounting brackets. (£55 pair with brackets). The BMW ones are much more expensive and like most modern chrome tend to go rusty. Scroll down 10 lamps for details/prices: Stafford Vehicle Components - Driving lamps

yeah - glad i've waited cos i'm gonna look into these ones below a bit more. thanks a lot for that link - i'll check it out. they look like they'll fit my wipac brackets as well which will save me changing them etc. will probably order these tomorrow ![]() Guinness World Record Holder 'Largest Parade of MINI Cars' 28th March 2007

ok, so the lamps from svc have just arrived, and look what they are: ![]() exactly the same as the wipac's i've already had that were also "stainless steel" yet they rusted badly, and very quickly. not that impressed tbh ![]() i guess i'll have to buy some protector for them and see how they go. if they rust in the first 12 months they will be going back that's for sure ![]() Guinness World Record Holder 'Largest Parade of MINI Cars' 28th March 2007
