| Electric mirror / Heated washer jet problem Hello All, My other half bought a 2002 Mini Cooper yesterday. The electric mirrors don't adjust at all. So I put a new 5amp fuse in location 35 in the interior fuse box. The mirrors worked for about 5 seconds and then white smoke started to come from the bonnet with an electrical burning smell. The new fuse also blew. I'm pretty sure this wasn't caused by the mirrors do to the fact it looks like the loom for them goes no where near the bonnet. The only other thing I think it can be is heated washer jets shorting out and melting. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? I can only find one topic mentioning it and the advice given was to put the 30A fuse in which tbh is just asking to cause a fire! Cheers. |
