Custom Painted Stripes

I'm still trying to decide if I should do vinyl or painted stripes. I really like the way Garfield's Chili Red S looks with the custom painted stripes.
Has anyone else had custom paint jobs done that could post some pictures???

TIA
Shawn

For me its vinyl. Easy to make. Easy to put on. And heck of alot easier to remove if I get tired of them or just flat out dont like them. Granted if you Happy with the design. Painted ones Look alot better. More of a true custom than any sticker. just m2cw

Just a few more days.....its only a few more days...

I have to keep repeating that. A friend of the family is a custom painter and he has had my cooper for just over 2 weeks. I pick up the car Saturday and will post pictures as soon as we get a little sun. (that may be a while, I live in Seattle )

motoring - can't wait to see some pics!

Mugami - I agree, vinyl is a lot easier to remove. But if you decide after a couple of years to remove them you are still stuck with permanent stripes because the paint would have faded around them. Just my view.

Wow...never thought of that. Aren't the decal stripes only supposed to last 8 years or something like that? At that point the stipes will probably be rather beat up, and will look bad on the car, but i'll have different colors of paint on the car! Oh wait...well i have the Mini Madness Shadow stripes on my DS MCS, so i guess it'd look about the same, just inverted (darker stripes, rather than lighter ones!)

Whatever.

Shadow Stripes

Grinder - I guess that would work for shadow stripes. Might be a nice change after 8 years.

Doesn't anyone have any pics of custom painted stripes???

I couldn't find anyone in Toronto who was willing to paint the stripes on the hood, so I went with vinyl.

Charles, did you get yours done at dealer? If not, can you advise me where to find a reliable sign shop which can do the job for a reasonable price?
