A panel decals

I'm thinking of getting solid black a-panel decals on my silver mini but i'm not sure about it stopping short of the a pillar at the top.
Has anyone extended the decal further (i can get any dimensions printed at my local car wrapping place) up to the pillar?
I was also wondering about having the whole section under the window done (between window and bonnet) to joint both sides together, has anyone ever seen this done? I'm worried it may look a bit odd if it makes the front of the car look shorter.
I should probably mention it's just a One, not a Cooper, so it's got a silver roof (but will have black bonnet stripes - either viper or accented slanted) if that breaks any styling rules.
Any advise greatly appreciated before i ruin my pride and joy

Just contacted the most helpful mini specialist ever - mad4mini in Leeds. Mike there has helped me out by confirming that it will look unfinished if i go up the a pillar. Hope he doesn't mind me quoting him but i thought it may help someone else who's thinking of the same.
Time for a trip to Leeds for some spots and stripes - soooooooooooo excited!
