Anyone got the same window tints?

Has anyone got darker window tints than 35% on the front two windows? If so do you get stopped often/ have you been ordered to take them off? Im getting 25% around the back windows and 35% on the front two passenger windows. If anyone has got the same window tints can you just clarify for me that it all merges well and that it is actually dark enough. How visible would i be in the daytime? (taking into consideration that my mini is black and that the interior is also black) cheers ive been unsure what to go for!

I had mine tinted today, and went with 30% on all 5 windows. I thought the different degrees of tint were only for SUV's

IMHO, the MINI has a more "classic" look with the same percent/degree of tint, but to each his/her own

Only drove for a few miles tonight, but experienced no problems with visibility.

Mine will have darker back windows than front windows. 35's on the front (as they let 35% of light in) and 25's on the back (as they let 25% light in) i just wanted to know if they would merge well. That pic had a greater contrast in terms of tints yet it still looked good

I had 50% put on all 5 windows. The installer said the fronts will always look lighter because of the light from the windshield. He estimated the standard rear three windows were at 30% from the factory, so the end equivalent is 70% on rear three and 50% on two front. The differene isn't enough to notice, and no I have not been stopped.

Clarification. In the US, the 3M tint is rated on how much light and energy it blocks. 30% lets in 70% of light, etc. Mine now block 50% on the front and 70% on rear. Claim from 3M is 98% block of UV rays for protection of interior, and that is true for all their tints as it is a function of the adhesive!

I have 28% front and 18% rear - this is the legal limit in Florida. The diference between the front and back is visible but you really don't see it unless you are looking for it.

Clarification on the clarification. In this area the tints are rated by the amount of light they let in, not the light they stop. A 28% tint is lighter than an 18% tint.

Thanks Keith, you've given me a better idea of what they will look like. Yours looks very good, so for now i think im decided on going for the 35% on front and 25% on back. I think it will blend well and it will be legal.

cooper7...

I think the legal limit in the UK is 30% of light being stopped (i.e. let 70% in)...
