Door mirror security bolts

Hi Guys,
After reading about other owners having their mirrors stolen
from their cars, i've decided to research security bolts.
Now, do any of you know what length the original bolts are?
The reason i've not measured mine, is that i replaced the original bolts
with 65mm stainless steel one's.
And, you've guessed it, i can't find the original bolts.
I have read you can get away with using 50mm, is this correct?
I cannot find 65mm security bolts anywhere.
To be honest, i'm thinking of using three different types of bolt anyway, just to make things difficult for the scum bag thieves.

Go onto a site such as OEM mini parts or bmmini parts and look up the fixing on the parts listing, it will tell you what you need to know regarding length and type etc for the standard fitment.

Only one thing about making parts hard to get off so they dont get stolen is if the thief tries to steal them and cant he is only likely to get frustrated and damage the door or wreck some other part of the car just for the sake of it.
