R53 Sunroof - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 Cooper S and I´m really happy with it.
The only thing I dont like is that since I bought in second hand, I didnt had the chance to get it exactlly how I wanted.
The car doesnt have a sunroof and I really would like having one. Is it possible to install one?

I would think it would be a bit of a job and very costly to fit an original MINI sunroof unit into one that hasnt got it.
If you just want an open roof and not bothered about it being glass I suppose you could have one of the original style canvas Webesto pull back sunroofs like they had in the 60's and 70's a lot easier??
I would hang on until you can get a car with the roof already in it.
