New colours??

Saw a Cooper today in a metallic yellow, bit like the Pheonix Yellow BMW do for the M3 but darker.

Anyone any idea what it is as its not in the brochure or on the Mini UK website??

Is it available in other countries and as a special order here?

I saw a gold listed in a website a while ago, maybe that's it. Also heard rumours that they may be dis-continuing a few colors, like pale green.

Yeah, it was a gold kind of colour. Thats probably it.

Thought it was just a dirty liquid yellow at first!!

If it's a metallic orange, I'd consider repainting my Dark Silver and White S just for that color. Just don't make it too bright, and stay away from the VW Bug orange. Yuk.

As long as it is not like the Tropic Orange that VW did the GTI's in a couple years ago. But a nice safety orange would be great!

AUsom Tiger, where are you in Alabama? I am moving to B'ham in a week and will pick up my MINI in Memphis shortly thereafter. . .

Maybe you can convince them to do an orange with blue roof and matching interior. . . .

There's been Orange, Candy Blue (mmmm, nice), Gold and a few other colours seen around that aren't available.

The next one expected is gold to replace Silk Green.

As far as I know MINI are still limited to a total of 12 colour choices at any one time, so if Orange or Candy Blue (or any other) colours come through, they will be at the expense of another colour.

Oh, I wasn't teasing! On the other hand, I don't know if my dealer was just having fun with me.

On order: Cooper. Chili red/black. Black bonnet stripes. Rally lights. Fog. DSC. Tartan red interior with anthracite.

Sadly there are no immediate plans to do this, their paint process couldn't cope at the moment.

My dealer told me last week that he's just been told that in addition to the new gold colour there was to be a kind of metallic yellow which will be very similar to (maybe the same as) a stock BMW colour. Haven't seen it but apparently it is rather nice.

He also confirmed that Electric Blue will become available across the range. So that's nice...

Black ONE - Salt Pack, Boost, CD Changer, ASC&T, 8 Spokes, Alarm and Glovebox

Arrived 16/10/02 and I love it

Driving lights, aero spoiler and some chrome bits to follow...

Is there any word on whether or not more of the Cooper colours will become available on the S? And interior colours as well?

Texan. Goofy. Sometimes witty. Pacifist. Imperfect, nice guy. Trying.
