Putting HID's in mini cooper?

Im a novice so sorry for the dumb question but can you put HID xenon bulbs in my mini cooper r50? Or do i need some sort of HID conversion kit?

It's not as simple as just swapping the bulbs over, there is a lot of other stuff you need and if you are in the UK you also need headlamp washers for them to be MOT legal.

Search xenon on here loads of posts about it.

It can be as simple as adding bulbs but that isn't legal. As stated most countries require some sort if self levelling and a washer system, all require the headlamp be designed for HID bulbs. Halogen headlamps are not designed for HID light sources. When you hear of pee dazzled by xenon lights they are usually complaining about illegally fitted ones which quite often allow light to fall outside of the cutoff. Best way to get xenons/HIDS is buy a car with them from new.
