Acid Rain!!??!!

I have (or so I have been told) acid rain damage on my car. How can I get rid of these ugly brown spots on Sgt. Pepper?

Well I noticed it right when I got the car, and I don't believe any more will happen...I have tried several washings with different cleaners, and I have tried to buff it out....i just want clean paint again!! (should I ask the dealer to take it out?)

Acid rain? In Jacksonville Florida????
Probably seagull poo stains.

Wash with Dawn dishwashing liquid to remove any existing wax, use a clay bar (like Mequiars Gold Class bar), and re-wax with a synthetic. If the clay bar doesn't get it off, time to drop the car by a local body shop and let them work on it.

As a

Zaino user, I love it, enough said. Check out this Meguiars page has a survey about your MINI. Fill it out and they will let you know about the weather and other environmental stuff in your area. They will provide detailed instructions on paint care on your MINI. Check it out...

The brown stains/spots may be iron filing deposits. Common around airports/trainlines and sidings/near industry.

There was a thread which discussed this but I can't find it.

Even if you don't have any culprits nearby, you only need to be downwind from them.

Use Zaino(it really is the best) and try to remove any standing water before it dries. Wax like Zaino Z2 and Z5 have kept all my cars acid spot free. The key is to reaply the wax at least every couple of months for max protection. The other seceret weapon is the new generation of Clear bras like Invinca Shield, they do completely protect the surfaces they cover from all kinds of problems including acid rain, stone chips, tar, dirt, ect. My Invinca installer went the extra mile for me and made several custom pieces in addition to the complete deluxe kit install, best money I ever spent.
