MINI headlights question

Do the dipped lights extinguish when the main beams are lit as happens on some cars?
If not, having main beams (especially Xenons), dips and fogs all on at once must be rather bright on an unlit road?

The fogs turn off when the high beams turn on (main beams for you?) but the high beams and low beams (dipped beams for you?) both stay on when the high beams are enabled. This is nice as some cars with high beams on have a dead zone near the car.

The add-on driving lights are strange in that some countries/states/provences only allow them with the high beams while others only allow them with the low beams

MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart!

I believe in the UK all lights stay on together (fogs, dipped, high (and side)).

But cannot recall 100% certain right now!

The fog lights will turn off when the main beams turn on (at least in the U.S. and probably everywhere else as well) because of course if you are using your main beams, then there can't be any fog

In the MINI the main beams and dipped beams are different bulbs. So when you turn on the main beams, the dipped beams will remain on.

For HID (xenon) equipped cars, only the dipped beams are xenon. The main beams are standard halogen bulbs.

The fog lights go off when High beams are enabled, but I'm pretty positive that the main beams stay on...
