Questions on wheel trim (yes, I used the search function)

Hello,

I tried searching using various keywords but I haven't found the answer I'm looking for. Sorry if this was asked before.

From reading what I found while searching about the wheel well trim it seems that it is fairly easy to remove the trim, but, when you paint it and put it back it does not fit as tightly as it did before. My question is has anyone else found this to be the case? If it is, I'm thinking of buying new trim peices, but will using new peices resolve the issue with the trim not being as flush when you install them?

I would also like to know how much it may cost to have the whole aero kit and the wheel trim peices painted. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth paying $3,230 to have the dealer paint and install the aero kit with the painted trim peices. I'm sure someone else has had it painted, right?

Thanks everyone,
Mike.

My guess (not speaking from experience) is that it would down to the clips, not the trim itself? Hopefully someone who has been brave enough to do this will help out, but I would suggest (as long as they are not 1 piece) that ordering new clips for the trim to bodywork might be all you need?

Sure someone more qualified will post a decent reply soon!

Paul
