Yellow Fog Lights?

I firmly believe that yellow fog lights are more effective than white ones. (Don't try to change my opinion, I'm an old guy.) Is there an effective way to change the stock white fogs to yellow?

Slid a yellow gel between the body work and your lite easiest and cheapest way. Not sure if they actually make the yellow fog lite to fit the Mini. Good question!

Good tip, tip. A yellow theatre gel would be able to take the heat, too.

I have used Yellow paint which was made for lights quite a few years back now. I forget the name but was bought from Ripspeed which is a performance car shop here in the UK.
I had painted my quad fog lights on a Charcoal Peugeot 309 GTi I used to own. Looked very nice with the yellow I must say, also lit the road well.

I am sure they still do this and will be searching for some when I get our car, which is in BRG so yellow will suit this well.

Will keep you posted

Well, it took a long time, but I found my answer.

RSpeed sells protective film kits for the various lights. The headlight kit comes in clear or blue, and the fog light kit comes in clear or yellow!

The item is M20-406 Lamin-X Fog Light Kit - Yellow, and is $19.95 incl shipping. The package comes right away, and the kit installs in about five seconds. It's as easy as cleaning the lens.

The kit gives a fair yellow cast to the light - not as deep as an amber lens would, but still yellow - and will protect those fogs from stone chips.

I did some digging on the 'net and came up with what I believe will be a better solution than laminate, gel, or paint: amber H11 lamps. I bought a set and will have to report back when I get 'em installed. I found 'em here:

The obvious answer is to change the bulbs, which will give you the best light, which means removing the bumper which isn't as hard as you believe.

Bosch do a yellow H7 Bulb (or they used to), seen em at halfords. http://www.boschautoparts.co.uk/pcLite5.asp?c=2&d=1
