I wanted the BMW one fitted to my Cosmos Black Cooper (collected Saturday 5th April 2003), but was told that there was a quality problem with the BMW version
I'm waiting now for the dealer to let me know if the 'official' ones will be available again, or if I need to go to a third party supplier.
In terms of the look, I based my descision on the pics on carvogue

Sorry Minty, I don't understand... does that mean the parts will be available after the 17th, or just that they'll be back in stock but on hold until the 'problems' (whatever they may be) are resolved?
I was hoping to be able to get a union flag with the george cross in chrome. I've been told by a professional graphics company that the chrome will flake off in heat or cold. Shame that, it would have looked so cool on a black car!
If you use the right materials it won't flake off. If you are talking about cut vinyl then yes that could be the case. There is a really good 3M reflective tape/vinyl that is a bit expensive that would serve your purpose.
A second idea is to digitally print the color you want and then there is ZERO chance of this peeling, cracking and there is a clear coat laminate to prevent fading and paint discoleration. This is the product we provide. I could get my hands of the reflective 3M vinly if you wanted to do something for yourself.
Anyone know any further info on the 'official' silver uj yet? My velvet red is being traded for a black cooper (due in August), and can't decide between the silver uj or a chequered roof. Dealer said they did do them, but were a bit vague about the details. Am I better going to Carvogue and getting someone professional to do it rather than a dealer who will have very little practise in fitting them?
I've ended up going for viper stripes instead... to be honest I bottled it! I've heard of problems on here with (non-silver) carvogue decals, and neither Idelgear nor Cooper flags have 'official' fitters. I was concerned about buying the flag one place and getting someone else to fit - if there's a problem, you're stuck between two parties.
That's the whole reason I specc'd the flag from the dealer in the first place - they are dearer, after all. So I've decided to play safe. The stripes were fitted yesterday, and I'm pleased with the result. Pics soon.
I dont know what the problem is with the silver UJ's, we have ordered one on our roof (Due 9th June) and have not been told anything about problems. Also the dealer has just had a all black ONE delivered to which they have fitted the silver UJ and bonnet stripes.
Black flag roofs on hold however wilson signs from Giltbrook nottingham do the same roof exact match made with the same vinal as BMW drive to him £150 fitted perfect phone 192 for number
