I thought I would warn anyone thinking of getting a Pure Silver to have a close look at it before taking delivery so they don't end up disappointed like I am. The PS paint on my Cooper is a mess when you park it in the sun, it is covered in blotches on the passenger side of the car and has a few on the divers side and the roof is bad as well.
BMW have inspected the car and say it meets "BMW standards" and is the same on all MINI's which is a joke. I have sent 3 emails and made 3 phone calls about my car to BMW's national customer service manager and other than one brief conversation have been totally ignored. I have shown my car to the guy who owns the dealership that I got it from, he did not seem impressed with BMW and said he would look into it, if nothing is done this week I'm seriously thinking of selling the car.
It's a shame because PS looks great... if you get a good one!
I vote Pure Silver with Black. It's one of my favorite combinations.
I suppose it is a color that would be susceptible to imperfections at the factory, but there are alot of companies doing alot of silver cars pretty well right now, so there really should be no excuse.
Get a Pure Silver with a black top. I have had mine for a 5 months and have not had any paint job issues and it is a GREAT, classy looking colour combo.
