Removing the reflectors on the arches for US/Canadian Minis.

I had a pretty cool idea to have the reflectors on the arches tinted black to kind of blend in with the arches. Anyone know how to remove them safely without damaging them?

Thanks,

-Adam

You might want to be very careful about that.
Down here it's a big ticket.

Lamin-X already has a MINI kit for this. Shading is adequate to "black" out the reflectors but still shows through when hit with light and when the signal is turned on. Picture to followl

But as long as they still shine amber and red, I shouldn't have a problem, should I?

I mean afterall, I'm already asking to be pulled over by a cop, rear white lights without reflectors, and no front license plate... jeese, I'm really going out on a limb here.

Post pics when done. I think it'll look nice.

They're supposed to be reflective, so you could get pulled over during the day when they're not lit and get a ticket.

Shining the 'correct' color is only half their purpose. I have no idea what your actual chances of getting a ticket are, but its certainly not DOT spec, (or whatever Canadian rules there are).

Perhaps a nice 'bad cop no donut' sticker on the back window? That should add to your cop bait...

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.
