Question about door alignment

I noticed something while washing the car today and wondered if it is normal. The rear edges of both doors (when shut) are not flush with the body edge just behind them. The door edges stick out at least 1/4" more than the rest of the car surface behind them.

Is this normal? I would think the two surfaces should be flush. Is it adjustable in the door latch/catch?

I believe mine are flush and seeing as its 10.22pm and dark as heck out I'm not gonna check for sure right now

Out of curiosity I will in the morning though.

I guess I'll mention it to my dealer then. Or I may first see if it's an adjustment I can easily do myself.

Thanks!

Well, that was easy! Just went out to the garage, took a 45 torx to the catches in the door jams, moved them in a bit, and voila - flush doors.

Should have tried it in the first place!
