White marks on my check roof

Hi all

I washed my car yesterday and noticed about 10 small white marks on the black vinyl squares. They feel smooth not chipped and have happened in the last two weeks. They are dotted around the roof in no particular area. Does anyone else have this?

It is a dealer fit roof and i was told that it had a guarantee but would it cover this? Its only 6 months old and will look really bad in a few years

Sounds like the vinyl is failing to hold the color. Are you a hand washer or a machine washer?

Should be covered by the dealer if it was installed by them. Easy to remove, replace.

I did my top myself, out of the box one of the squares has a slight defect, but not enough to make me want to do it over again.

mines fine - i've got one from idlegear that i fitted myself about 3 or 4 months ago.

mine was from idlegear also. the defect was so slight that I was not going to concern myself with it. Hard to spot unless you know where to look.

handwash only, perhaps its the birds or trees in my area. I will ask the dealer when it goes in for its first service in a couple of months
