Cooper S front bumper - MINI Cooper Forum

Does anyone know if you can just buy a Cooper S front bumper, and put it straight on a Cooper?

How much would it be, and would I be able to sell my Cooper one??

I think yes because I saw a Cooper swap bumpers with a S.
I want to know why? The cooper's looks much better.

A few people on here have done the reverse as well, and it's not a direct swap, but it seems fairly easy. The plastic trim is not a perfect match and the foglights are not either.

Well, just an idea. Don't think I'll actually do it. Just an idea!

To be honest, I really like the black mesh grille on the bottom of the S bumper, and don't like the silver oval grille on the cooper, I think it's JUST a bit too much silver/chrome.

So, is there any way of changing that bit of grille (under the numberplate) for one similar to the S grille, in black (obviously its a different shape)?

A lot of ONE owners have done the opposite to yourself. Just go to your local MINI dealer buy the part and fit it. It does involve removing the bumper. Or just spray paint it black, but that would stone chip.

Alternatively go for something completly custom.

get an aero kit
similar to cooper S front bumper
but nicer IMO and the mesh is black hehehe

I've done it. Had a damaged bumper, and replaced it with a spare MCS bumper (local dealer in Philly had it leftover due to aero-kit install) Had it installed at Helix...I like the more aggressive look as well.

That pic has been around awhile with my plate on it...as well as numerous others. Got sick of doing the old gaussian blur thing.
