United-Kingdom Fitting Fog Lights

Hi there, i bought my new mini cooper, stupidly, without fog lights.

I am quite handy when it comes to electrival car things,

I need to fit fog lights to my Mini.

I really need advice from someone who knows what goes on behind that bumper!!

I will be fitting another switch, and connecting throgh the battery.

Will i need to buy the fogs, or are they already there. Is it just a case of wiring.

Thanks!!

I'm in the same situation. I bought my Mini off the lot with no fog lights. Now, of course, I can't live without them so I called the dealer I bought my car from. He quoted me $400 for the parts and $495 for the install. I passed. Someone please post if you've found an inexpensive way of doing this upgrade. Thanks,

Pieter

Well, i have found a solution.

I removed the bumper from the car, and I think I can fit them for under, £50, and a little bit of work.

I removed the bumper, and found that there is more than enough room for a massive set of lights, and the vents are covers, that just pop off.

I am fitting my fogs this weekend, and will post pics of how to fit them, and what i did exactly.

Long Beach Mini in California. Either they are idiots, or they think I'm an idiot. Whatever the case, they won't be getting any business from me. But your post has inspired me to shop around and see what other dealers have to offer. Thank you,

Pieter

You might want to make sure they are not charging you for the "driving" lights. Those are real expensive.

That's what I was thinking, but he asked me specifically if I was interested in fog lights or driving lights.
