I quite fancy the 4 spotlights but really am a little faint at paying the £700+ quid for them (official price list), has anybody had these done afterwards and at what cost etc?
Yes, the 4 lights are nice aren't they? But my dealer charges £700+ for them fitting as well - the reason why I don't have any yet, it's a crazy price for what you actually get.
I have posted in another thread about this, my 4 lights cost me from a dealer and fitted by them,----- first pair £285.00 second pair £225.00 = £510.00 alot lot short of £700+
All 4 should work.
I paid $1520 Aus for all 4 fitted, you can get cheaper aftermarket lights, eg minisport, but I reckon the official MINI lights look better
No doubt they look cool, your preaching to the converted, It just seems a lot of money for 4 tiny spotlights, heck I got a fully automated electric sunroof for £500.00 yet 4 tiny spots is nearly £600.00
I can see I am going to buckle but it pains me, I just did not want to break the £19k mark but in for a penny,,
Its £145 for 2 and fitting is on top.
The price list doesn't include fitting as each dealer has their own rates.
I was quoted £400 for 2 inc fitting so 4 would prob be about £700.
I think as far as BMW dealers go it's the standard price, I don't think I am being quoted any different to other people at BMW garages, while I can see your point re fitting them, I would not want to try doing something like that, i'ts just not my forte, I don't mess with cars, it alwasys goes wrong.
I undertstand your reluctance to fit things yourself, if it's not something you are comfortable with. However, you could always get someone else to fit them for you. Maybe even MiniSport?
If you're really keen, get yourself over to Milton Keynes and I'll fit them for you
I'll think about it closer the time, thanks Lee. I am not going to pay factory fit prices, it's just to much, the car itself just broke the bank, so I will get the car and give it a month or so. I really love those folding wing mirrors that are now available, I think they will come before the spots.
