How do you get the mirror covers off? - MINI Cooper Forum

Gently. I used two plastic spoon handles. Started at the top and then gently worked round until they popped off.

I found that if you electrically tilt the mirrors down and look in from the front behind the mirrors you will see the clips right there behind the mirror. Use a very thin screwdriver to lift up on each clip over the top of the mirror. Put a blanket or towel down on the floor so when the cover falls off it doesn't get dinged. No need to pry from the back. You will just break the clips. Press the replacement cover on and it will snap into place. Quite easy, really. Nice design, BMW/MINI.

Thanks James.. the Techs as BMW just grabbed and ripped them off when i had mine changed. Then ive taken the old ones and had them refinished will be needing to switch them back out in about 2 days.
