Aero Side Skirts

I ordered a set of aero side skirts That were to be color coded form the factory but BMW told me today that it will take 8-10 weeks to recieve these. I think that that is a long time and i am thinking of cancelling them and getting them somewhere else.What do you think???

Have you tried ringing other dealers first to see what there waiting times are for these.?

No not yet,, i'll give them a ring in the morning and see what the others say

My local dealer told me that it is BMW in England and Germany that do not have the part in Stock

Ireland get their parts from MINI UK, that is true..........they do take usually 6 weeks, mine did too..........

Well I might just have to wait......again!!!!!!

Lot of waiting involved with these cars..........

My dealer has spotlamps waiting for me, but I haven't had a chance to get in to have them fitted yet.........

Yeah, you will have to wait! But the bright side is that it is much cheaper than getting them painted over here. For example, you could get them by the end of the week from Mini UK as they more than likely have the primed parts but your dealer would charge you for spraying them in your colour, which costs the earth!
When I first wanted aero skirts my dealer told me £990 as it took several hours to paint and laquer, or I could wait a few weeks and have them from the factory at half the price. In the end I paid £490.

I have recently had to wait 8 weeks for my new aero bumper, but I have it now

the primed skirts are available next day. the colour coded ones take 4-6 weeks.

we always order the color coded ones as they work out cheaper, and you get a better finish on them, as they are a pain to paint, due to the black sections.

Cost me € 450.00, around £ 320.00.
