Fitting Exhaust Trim?

I ordered the exhaust trim for my MINI One (Genuine MINI Part £20) and it was delivered today, might seem like a stupid question but:

How do you fit it?

I am under the impression that you have to cut the outer ring from the existing exhaust in order to put the new trim on, any tips on what I could use to do this??

thanks Jp

a Jr hacksaw is the only thing you can practically get into the gap, you really got be careful not to catch the trim on the bottom of the bumper. i led on the floor and cut upwards, the most uncomfortable way but the safest trim wise. if your on the aero kit its better takeing the rear bumper off. when the ring is off just get a block of wood on the end of the trim and gently knock it on with a hammer, be real careful not to hit it too far, its a to get bak!

Did this to Welsh's One this weekend, ended up taking the Aero Bumper off rather than mess about drying to cut it in the minute space there is. Took about 2 mins to cut off then with a metal hack saw.
