mini facelift model ---> no aerokit avaliable ordered my car 3months ago, came in day before yesterday and i then recieved a phone call saying that the aerokit which i ordered for fitment to the car doesnt fit, however more alarming was the fact that the currently 'is no kit fort he facelift mini model!' im shocked and upset that now my new mini cooper will b without an aerokit, of which i really wanted! again more alarming is that the dealer said ' its ok once its out in between 2-4 months you can come back pay for it and have it fitted' no mention of compensation for the time ive driven around without it on when i ordered it 3 months prior to delivery, just you can pay when its out and come back and have it fitted! cant believe a company such as BMW would/could do this and not forsee a problem, and then not even ofer and form of compensation i.e aerokit for half the price of something similar! verdict- rubbish upset and apawled at customer service for reference the dealer Is RYDALE MINI, CARDIFF, UK Ian |

Panic over! I've just been to see the mini dealer (Rydale in Cardiff) who has confirmed that the problem with the aerodynamic kit not fitting has now been solved (by moving some brackets) - thanks to Ian's efforts. Anyway, no need to panic - if you are waiting for a facelift mini with a kit you won't be waiting until september by the sound of things. Last edited by m1m0; Jul 9th, 2004 at 06:05 PM. |

| Having fitted the Aero kit myself, I cant see any reason for the original kit not to fit the new cars. I have to say included in the kit are instructions on how to fit extra brackets for the very first MINIs (01 models), so surely a simlar bracket would be available. Doubt it'll be an issue for the S, as the S bumper hasnt changed, and the S has the fog lights in th ecorrect place anyway (cooper and One models need the fogs moving slightly. A fried has ordered an S for July with Aero kit, so we will see, and theirs is Bowkers Dealership, which is nothing short of outstanding. ![]() |

| Yeah very professional, fitted my JCW wheels. Not sure who to buy my S off though, Bowker or Derek Woodmans, as got my Red & wWhite one from their (also very profesional) and I took my mate and his GF (Now Welsh and Blue 280) there about 2 months ago, and they now have a MINI each so may get a bit of a better discount from woodmans. ![]() |
