Chrome Line Exterior? Must have Chrome Mirror Caps

This is news to me, but you can't get the smaller chrome bits on the front and rear bumpers without getting chrome mirrors? Is this correct. How bizarre? There are TONS of PR photos floating around here that show the chrome on the bumpers without chrome on the mirrors... hmmmm.

You're probably looking at PR photos of MINI Coopers that have chrome grill slats as standard equipment, hence the mirrors in black or white. The S's grill slats are body color. Yes U R correct the chrome line exterior option includes chrome mirror caps, but you can get just the chrome mirror caps by themselves if U wish (US$120.)

I'm not making myself clear. Let me try this:

Previously you could get chrome trim on the bumpers and no chrome mirrors... LOOKED GREAT.

Now, you MUST have chrome rearview mirrors with chrome trim on Bumpers... LOOKS BAD.

The chrome mirrors are offered by themselves = GREAT (if you want them)

Chrome bumper trim is no longer availabe by itself = BAD.

2. Buy replacement mirror caps of your choice
3. Replace chrome caps with caps of choice
4. Sell chrome caps

I'm confused?? I'm having the Chrome Line Exterior AND white mirrors on my S which is delivered next month...

In the US you get chrome mirror caps in the Chrome Line Exterior package.
