United-Kingdom Cooper/Cooper S Rear Bumper Installation, Difference?

Hi All,

I have just been looking for info about installing a new bumper onto my cooper (cus my original is cracked), I found a guide in the DIY section explaining the process on a Cooper S! Well the question is:

Is their a difference in the installation between the 2?

If anybody has had experience in fitting a rear bumper to a cooper then I would really appreciate any advice!

After looking @ the guide it seems that it should be fairly straight forward, thats if its the same!

Hope u can help?

Cheers in advance!

Dave,

The two bumpers have the same fixing points so, there is no difference,

as Pobsey has said there is no difference, the rear bumper is quite simple to change about a 20-30 min job

hi jonesy,
with my previous cooper,i retro fitted cooper s bumpers
to and i can tell you its very staight forward to do with no
problems whatsoever, the only thing to remember is if you
have the original side exit exhaust is you will have to swap
the black surround on the rear bumper with your existing
bumper.
also the front fogs need re positioning when you swap covers
this is very apparent how to do when the old cover is removed,
you just have to drill two small holes in the brackets that hold
the fogs to the car.
hope this helps.
