Blue Cooper Front Plate

Hi all,

I am about to put my personal plate onto the Mini and as it is shorter than a normal plate I want to remove the black plate hanger and either stick the plate to the bumper or mount it in the lower vent (is this actually used for ventilation or is it just for show?).

I presume that the plate hanger is screwed on but does it leave big holes in the bumper or are the screwholes hidden in the grille or something?

Any ideas cos I don't want big holes left in the bumper!! I have seen the bungs you can buy but $30 seems expensive!!

Cheers dudes

The plate mount is just to make the mount flat so not needed. It is screwed into the aero kit but not sure about normal bumper.

I was going to shorten my plate but the dealership screwed the mount on by the far corners so I would have holes showing. Really annoyed me since they knew I was going to shorten it! Swines! Sure they did it out of spite!

I put a smaller plate on the front of mine.
If you remove the big black plinth then yes there are 4 holes left.
2 are covered by the plate , 2 I filled just by using the original fixings.
I think it looks great
