Red face Another Sidelight thread

I know we all love threads on white sidelights, so I thought I'd start another

I had some LED sidelights and whilst they were ok I wasn't fully satisfied with them.

So I bought some Extreme White Xenon Sidelights from this site
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/side_lights.htm

The light they give is better than the LED's and more what I was after
The problem with them was that when they were off they looked very blue through the lens.......
.......not any more they don't

Removed the bulbs again this aft, cleaned them thoroughly and inserted them into a piece of polystyrene
Then found an old cardboard box and placed the whole lot inside.
Next comes the good bit

Take one small can of silver spray paint and aim carefully at the bulbs, the spray lightly, turn polystyrene round and spray the other side

Leave to dry for a few hours then replace in bulb holders and test

They only need a light spray, not covering solidly with lots of coats.

It shouldn't be a problem, but even if I have to repaint them in a few months it doesn't matter
Plenty of paint left, I only used 3 quick sprays.......ok 4.....I missed with first one
