Question Who can colour key my arches cheaply?

Following the eye-watering invoice I got from BMW for fitting my spotlights and 2005 grille, I shall NOT be giving them the best part of a grand to colour key my arches and sills.

So I'm looking for an independent who can do a nice smooth professional job in painting my wheel arches and sills in solid black for a reasonable price. I have searched the forums and can't find a recent topic with a recommendation.

So any recommendations welcome - London and South East in particular but am willing to travel - I don't mind driving

Hi, if your willing to travel and save money you could always try mini-design, a bit far for you i guess although I have seen a couple of mini's they've done and the job is top notch, there currently spraying a part for me.
Popped round there on Saturday, seem like a decent bunch of chaps, even offered to make me a cuppa

Guess its a bit far for you but an idea non the less

Hey V,

Yes, to cut a very long story short i know a guy in the trade
anyway, he put me in touch with the Spary shop that BMW
contract out to.

Basically got the BMW warrenty, and cut out the middle man
and saved ALOT of money. Very Very Very pleased, money well spent

Can take you there if you want,
but you'll have to leave car for about 4 days. (They do have a loan car though!)

Why does it cost so much at this site...

www.autofashion.co.uk/colour_coding.htm

So, Nick - how much did it cost and where exactly did you get it done?

PM to forward the details, I'd be V. interested in getting this done.

Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...

I'll colour code them for you for a slab of Stella Artois, a jumbo sized box of Maltesers and a tenner.

Can't say fairer than that. Can't really guarantee the end results, but i'll at lest try and make them the same colour as the rest of your car....

Have the arches been smoothed? or are they still rough like the
normal un-painted arches are?

£350 seems very cheap for all that work, don't get me wrong good on you fella
if thats what you paid, i don't doubt that for a second. Very good deal indeed

Yes ,all the black plastic trim was taken off the car smoothed, coat of plasticiser undercoat/primer and then painted in body colour.

I had the front lower grill mesh painted alumimium silver and the 2 rear bumper grills in the same colour
