Window Tints

Hi all!

Searched through the archives but couldn't find exactly what I wanted to know, so these are my questions:-

1. is the factory tint a different percentage on the rear screen compared to the side windows?

2. and what percentage tint are they?

The reason for asking is that I want to have tints put on but my dealer wont do them any more and so I have to get it done by pentagon in leeds, but I want it to look as OEM as possible.

I have got the rear window and rear side windows tinted from factory, and I tinted the door windows with aftermarket tinting by a professional company with safety foil. I have got 33% tinting on the door windows. This looks slightly lighter than the factory tinting, but from the inside out there is no difference. Because the windows are smaller and there is less light in the back, the back windows tent to look darker. This effect increases and decreases with outside lighting conditions. For the optimum effect you should probably go lower than 33%, but this is not allowed here in the Netherlands. You could have a look at my gallery but pictures do not reflect the every day look well.

not many replies, i've trawlled the archives but cant find anything which states what percentage tint the factory option is, would really appreciate some help.

I guess Factory Tint is about 40/50%?
