United-States downgrade my MCS fuel door

i want to change my mcs fuel door to a regular mc fuel door...... i'm sure many of you may disagree on this idea, but i don't like chrome...... had anyone done this?? any pointers ??? thanks

I think that'll be a first.

Before you go to the dealer and buy a standard fuel door, be sure to look around for one of the many used (near new) ones available from people who've done the opposite!

I've got a disused red fuel door, but the dealer broke the black plastic liner when they removed it. Heck of a job, took them 1 1/2 hours to complete it

Have you thought about getting the S door sprayed. It's a nice shape and would look good colour coded. Not sure how you would treat the chrome before spraying though

i'ved call couple body-shops already, no one can guarenteed if the paint can stay on the chrome surfaces...... and detailing the mcs fuel door suroundings is a pain !!!

heres what i did on my blk.-blk. s
firist i installed a reg.mini fuel door.
exposed the car to alot of car nuts for their thoughts.
very mixed comments.
then i reinstalled the s flip cap after i had it
powder-coated blk. looks great & alot of postive comments.
most of the rest of the car is de-cromed os it fits right in.
