well, on the face of it, the application of the lettering appears to be OK (not having compared it with mine in the garage.)
However, that aside, there are strict "design" rules to adhere to when branding a car - every company has them, and if BMW have ill fitted their branding then that's a big worry.
Sounds so flipant, but it's true.
Ask them what the exact x,y co-ordinates of the lettering should be and ask them to check the x,y of your lettering.
simple really.
Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing...
I don't believe there are any guide holes. Friend of mine took his off, and replaced them afterwards (he was putting boot stripes on and wanted it to go under the letters).
He said the new letters came on a sheet of paper, with double sided tape adheared to the letters on one side. You just stick them on wherever you need/want to.
I made an overlay of your picture and a picture of the BMW Press site. I had to tilt your picture a few degrees but ratio is unchanged.
Your letters are not evenly distributed? Also all the letters are much too far to the left looking at the boot door gap (not on my picture). But I doubt if anyone will notice? But I can feel with you, it has to be perfect
There are not guide holes, I had the same as you, a respray of the whole boot door because of a stolen badge
If the $stealer repaired the car I would tell them to put it right! never mind spending another £13.
If you do it yourself, it's easy to remove. Just slide dental floss behind the badge. Comes off easiest when it's warm so leave it in the sun a while. If you can find some sun that is
