Aftermarket Racing Stripes

Im about to order my car and was wondering if there are aftermarket stripes that are preferable to the dealer stripes. Any websites that people can suggest?

I think this look is SHARP!

And its a complete front and rear kit.. for about what it costs to get the front-only bonnet stripes!

Something to think about, anyway.
Happy MINIing!

Rogue Engineering shadow stripes

Hmmmmm,,, nice subtle Rogue Engineering stripes on DS or riceboy Union Jack Stripes completely covering an Indi Blue "S". nahhhhh,, I'm too old to drive anything Austin Powers would be seen in.

Here's the factory stripes on my car.

Something worth noting:
-the factory stripes are about 1/2" too short in my estimation. There is a gap at either the leading edge or the back edge of the bonnet because of that. You can kind of make out the gap in the picture at the top.

Personally I really like the look of the factory stripes, but not that gap. So today I had a local sign shop remove my factory stripes (which were free to me), and then install a set of custom stripes in the factory pattern. I tried to go wider, but because of the hood curvature, the factory width is about as wide as you can go with vinyl and mount them outboard (as opposed to the inboard mounted Rogue stripes). Min now extend the full length of the bonnet, and the black ruled lines on the outside are a little wider and more distinct. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow.

COST: Even by doing a one off custom stripe, the sign shop only charged me $30 for the material and then $45 for the install. So still cheaper than the $80 MINI would normally charge for the factory stripes.

I'm seriously leaning toward the Rogue stripes myself.. I really like the look. Wondering though, think they would look good on Indi blue (w/white roof) ... or should I just stick with the white bonnet stripes? Would love to see pics of Rogue stripes on an IB MC! hint hint..

Cool Rogue Engineering Sample

Give Rogue Engineering a call or drop them an e-mail and ask for a sample of their 'shadow stip'. I have placed the sample on my bonnet and boot. Looks good, but the 'shadow stripe' is more sliver than translucent. I was hoping for more of a translucent effect to allow the BRG color to show through. Still looking for just the right racing stripe. I like the idea of finding a local sign shop. The hunt goes on.....

Go Custom

As MINIUSA would say "You-ify it" Go to your local sign shop and design your own. I did! Looks killer. I thought the MINI got a lot of attention before. Now it's crazy.
