Bon soir all you MINI folk.
Got my HB MCS coming in July. Already been waiting since mid/late April and the old Mk III Golf is looking a tad tired...
Anyway, Got it coming in HB, W roof, bonet stripes, uni jack mirrors.
Not too keen on aero pack and thinking of getting wheel arch trim/side skirts etc sprayed........
....... white.
Am I mad?
Does anyone back me up on this or do I sound mad?
Anyone seen any photos of it?
Could always go with body colour.....
I thought I'd seen this done before, but for the life of me I can't remember where, and can't find it either. Not really my cup of tea as they say, but what the heck, I say go for it if you like the idea. Bear in mind it'll be an absolute pig to keep clean, but otherwise, variety is the spice of life
http://www.mini-design.com have a black MC with silver arches. The colours look ok so I don't see why your blue white idea won't work. The car is shown in their ads in GoMINI.
There is also a red/white one attached. Not sure about the body kit though.
I love the painted trim. Once upon a time when my MINI was CR/W I was dead set on painting my arches/trim white as well. Now I have a CR/B Cooper and have painted the trim CR.
I have the mini design kit and i was gonna paint the sides of it a different colour like wots on their demonstrator car.
it is going on to an electric blue mini and i had a dark silver, darker than mini designs one sort of graphite colour picked out for it but i changed my plans and am going to do it quite differently.
so a very dark metalic silver goes well with the elec blue but the white looks very cool too, it would definatly stand out.
I have a BRG/W MCS and I'm thinking of doing it this winter while it's out of service. I too am asking for pictures of non black or body color trim pieces. I think the Hyper Blue with a white trim would be sweet. Attached is a link to another Mini Motorer whose painted the trim white on their Chili Red Mini. Best of luck.
