Mini bumper protector

Hi y'all,

Just thought I'd share a few pics of the Mini OEM bumper protector.

Part # 82 11 0 393 995

Retail $40

Motoring file article:

http://www.motoringfile.com/2005/02/...per_protection

Notice that the strip does not exactly fit the stock bumper on my '04 CMS, nor did it fit the aero kit bumper from an '05.

Initially I thought it would look worse than it did because it was so thin...but after 2.5 minutes and taking a step back, I was super happy with the way it came out.

Install could *not* have been easier. All you need is a spray bottle and one cup of water!

And a nice sunset in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn....

I bought one of these long ago for GBMINI#3 - keeps the red/black theme nicely - but I still have not decided whether or not to fit it ... If you like it, maybe I would too.

I'm going for the whole black and silver look....

And plus I had a big scratch on my bumper that this piece covers up nicely!

I think you'll like it.

No you wouldn't cos as far as I know you can't get them in the UK

Looks the part, fits in with the car very well.... its the first time I've seen one in-situ

I can't understand why MINI does not offer bumper protection as standard for that part of the bumper Its the one part that gets marked so easily......

I'd like one, but Mini UK does not sell them

Well, you guys over there have the spray paint (color and clear coat) available in a can and over here all we can get is the 2ml touch-up bottles! So I guess we're even!

If anyone is interested, perhaps we can do a cross ship - I'll send the bumper cover over from here and you send over some paint!

Thank you for the detailed photos, I was waiting to see it up close. It should blend in better with my black bumper. Ian maybe I'll have a firsthand look at yours some time soon.
