rust

my exhaust on my 02 cooper (reg june 03) is going rusty at the bottom on the back box since i still have warranty left (just under a year) are bmw likely to replace under warranty or are they going to charge for it and if so how much is likely advive please

MINI wont replace it just because it is going rusty, unless of course it has rusted all the way through and has caused a hole. The exhaust on the MINI isnt stainless steel and will rust over time. If you look underneath the car the pipe that leads from the cat back to the back box will be extremely rusted. Its just something you will have to live with unless it bothers you enough to warrent paying for a new exhaust that will only do the same.

i had mine replaced today, 52. under warranty. loads of rust. they will not do skip on teh labour for up graded parts.... if teh manufacturer found out they aint gunna be to happy with dealer.
