My partner has a mini one d 2003, when she used to start it there was a buzzing sound like something priming up.This sound has now stopped and we are suffering coolant loss at an alarming rate.Does anyone know what the buzzing sound was,it went on for about 2 seconds as glow plugs heated up when key was turned. We are being told car needs a cylinder head gasket without inspection at a price of 907 pounds plus vat (15 hours labour).
