Use of BP/Aral Ultimate Diesel or Shell V-Power Diesel in MOD

Currently I'm testing BP/Aral Ultimate Diesel on my MOD.

I did about 1000 km with the (expensive) stuff. First impressions are quite good. The motor runs a bit smoother; v-max is 5 km/h higher; I can't say much about fuel consumption because I did these first 1000 km on the Autobahn with high speed.

I was searching in the forum but did not find any reports on using the new Diesel in a MOD.
There are controversary discussions on that issue in other car forums ....

Who else has tried it?

I will post a more comprehensive report here after having done serious measurement.

I have tried both of these and can not really say that I can feel that much difference between the standard diesel and the advanced diesels.
I have decide to give millers oils additive in stead. seems to give the same feel as the bp ultimate, smoother running. but i can not say if it improves the performance as such.

Hi there,

Lascu, after reading and reading I am giving serious thought to your MOD recommendation for the tunning (with the software, cable, laptop combination). It seems to be a sensible proposition in value-price.

As for the Aral Ultimate, I have tried a couple of times and the car did seem more responsive (also a higher top speed)... but then again , it could be all wishful thinking and "tail wind"!!!

I drive the A5, direction Frankfurt everyday and there are some flat, lonely places (specially in the evenings) when I can try the top speed... so far, the most it will go is 183kph... but it will take a while to get there... my MOD is still original and with 6000 kms in the clock. (took delivery 1st. July 2004)

Any chance on seeing those dyno charts? the ones for the MOOD?

Happy "miniing" around!!!

I only feel something whit the Bp Ultimate. The diesel V-power doesn`t make the car different from the normal diesel.

Whit the ultimate i get more torque smoother but more really a better respond from the car. And i think i get better millage (dint`t make counts yet)

OnereD don't forget to post here the results and the grafics

Hi there every1. I really don't think that u can get a comparable difference in performance from these power diesels.....but what they do give u is better MPG. I can state this with some certainty as i have just returned from a driving trip around europe in my MOD. And when i used the shell V-power it gave me three miles to the gallon more then normal petrol. Driving at the same speed as before 80mph, i returned 49.1mpg which was 3 up on the 45.9 from the standard diesel i had used before.
Also i don't know if any of u have....but just get a re-map done on ure MOD and u won't be bothering what diesel u put in ure car!

Ohh i know pepper'd has!
