Take a look to the "getting in the MOOD" thread...
You'll get all infos about personal ECU remapping.
I just looked at the site and for the serial/USB interface needed to remap the ECU. The cost for the Diag Box (eg interface) + Software (provided by ) + New Map is all about 200/300 €

So I think few smart guys decided to show a profit of their investment...

MOD chip enhancements

There is a thread on MOD Chipping (which contains a lot of information on possibilities for motor tuning the MOD but which has "starved" in December 2003).
see http://www.mini2.com/forum/first-generation-mini-one-d/33456-there-one-d-chip-enhancement.html.

I that thread you find my report on the OBD optimization (also contributing the term MOOD :-)
see http://www.mini2.com/forum/showpost...73&postcount=40

I would like to briefly update this report:

By now I have driven 25.000 km after the ECU remapping in September 03. The car is running very well without any problem. After about 15.000 km on the clock performance even improved (reving up more easily). I regularly drive the the car fast on the Autobahn at speeds between 160 and 190 km/h. Consumption averages between 5.3 and 6.6 l/100km (42-53 mpg).

I would be interested in other long term experiences from tuned MODs and also would like to see power diagrams from the Tunit and the OneClick modifications.

Always in a good MOOD ....
