Smile Just had Mini one chipped.

This is louises Fiancee, just had her car chipped but she dont know about it yet

What a difference, its turned a shopping trolley into a little hot hatch

Just being testing it
spins the wheels in 2nd
65mph in 2nd

slowed down after that though

Its been transformed, just as much fun as driving the 182

I thought id never say it, but i enjoy driving her mini one

Sounds good but does your dearly beloved realise that the insurance will be affected?
Which company did the chipping?

Most insurance companies dont like the ECU Chips. I work in the insurance industry and the ones ive worked for, dont do BHP increases via ECU mods/chips.

It cost £299, got it done through mini design but all they do is just get www.superchips.co.uk round

Sounds fantastic! I'm seriously thinking of getting it done although will probably go for one of the handheld units so that I can "return it to normal" for the servicing.

The big question is though, how much did it affect your insurance? As I live in Sarf London, I suspect that the price hike would be prohibitive (even though I'm 35), anyway, what did you get stung by your insurers - would be good to know so that I can decide on the best way forward.

Cheers,

MM

I bet it gets there a bit quicker tho

I got slightly better MPG from my ONE after it was chipped, but i used to find that running on optimax made a huge difference - alot more so than on my S. It would get about 28-30 (driven hard) on 95 octane, while on 98 octane it would get 35-38
