That custom remap you refer to was all superchips work. But done for a 15% reduction pulley.

For a Mini One it's about 30bhp more i think, and for a cooper it's a dismal 8 to 10bhp. I have a cooper and was considering a bluefin, but tbh for the price to power gain I decided to go to the gym and try gain power through weight loss!!

i got mine yesterday from superchips direct, at first i was not impressed, the difference wasnt noticable and i was going to send it back, but ive took it out today and you can definately feel the difference now, im not one to hoof my car around so i was worried cos i hear its only noticable over 4k revs but i still feel a difference under that, the best way to describe it is when you put your foot down before, you could put it flat and not get any power unless u were in a lower gear, but not u can feel a difference even when you just tap the pedal- i would recommend, i also hear it gets better over time?!

so does the bluefin not cause any damage to the engine of the car? I am worried about engine life etc and dont want to decrease it. Also is it something that needs to be declared on your insurance?

Heard one person comment on fuel consumption but what is everyone else finding with it? has it improved fuel economy or decreased it?

Engine Damage: Well im not sure long term what the upgrade would do, but Superchips have a great reputation and ive heard the engine can take upto 130BHP easy

Insurance: Yes you should tell your insurance cause it's increasing the original bhp output of the car

thanks again although i suppose you could just remap the ecu back to the original map if the insurance company was ever due to look at the car after a crash. Thinking about it though, would an insurance company go through the hassle of checking if the ECU has been remapped if you try to claim? Would be a bit of a ball ache for them wouldnt it?

In my opinion mate insurance companies will do ANYTHING to get out of a claim. I would not put it past them at all to check the ECU!

It depends on what MINI you drive. On a COOPER S it adds 5%, on a COOPER it adds 9% and on a ONE it adds 37%. Hope this helps.

Wow, wow and WOW. I got the Bluefin yesterday and installed it on my ONE. What a difference! I also got this unit from Lohen and would recommend them. If you have a ONE and have a little bit of spare cash, get this mod!

Not only is she faster and I can boot her up to 6.5K before changing but she is far far smoother and sounds better. Her whole feel has changed for the better, she just seems to be pulling smoother and changing better and faster.

I cannot praise this mod enough. Get it, you won't be disappointed!

I have Bluefim fitted to my new MINI Convertible by the guys down at Lohen. A really great and friendly bunch. I get around 500 miles per tank and as previously said, the power comes in over 4k. Overtaking in second up to 80 is SUPERB!
