finally got my mini

i finally got my mini one yesterday, its a 52 in chili red with air con, although its got 60k on the clock it still goes like a rocket!- ive done a 100 miles in one day cos i cant stop wanting to go out for that pint of milk at the supermarket miles away cos its so great to drive!
ive never had so much fun in a car since my old shape mini a couple of years ago, its still got that feeling of going faster than you actually are, its also amazin how big it is inside! ive gotta get rid of that tape unit, so im going to buy a new cd player today and ive a bluefin, some cooper s wheels and some white bonnet stripes, its got a red roof so ill need to sort out a roof graphic,

ive owned 10 cars in 5 years cos i get sick of cars quickly but this is without doubt the best ive had yet! (my friends and family will all say they have heard that before) but i really mean it.

as soon as i get it finished ill take some pix

just a question though, i put £20 petrol in it when i bought it and the gauge went to half way been driving around and its just under half now, whats the fuel consumtion like? i dont have a mpg dial so i dunno what i should be getting in, but whats the average for a mini one? what should i be getting out of £20?

Congratulations!!! I got my first mini two weeks ago and know exactly what you mean No one warned me that i could love a car so much and have such a ridiculous amount of fun! Ive done just over a thousand miles now and had the top down a good few times (although not as much as i would have liked with all this rain!!!)

Im planning all my holidays round driving now and would love to take her to the South of France

thats the thing! when i used to have my old classic mini, you would always get wave or a flicker of lights, and i got the same in my mk2 golf gti also, but in the new mini it seems like people are not buying them cos they are a mini and therefore they have no loyalty to it being a mini, so when i see someone driving them they just seem to come accross as "oh its another car" so i know i would get a random expression back if i waved so it would be the same as if i owned a ford fiesta or something, its a real shame
