How low can I go..?

Curiousity more than anything...

17" S-Spokes and standard suspension on a ONE - How low can I make the car and avoid any scuffing? I'd hazard a guess at loweringn by 30mm, but does anybody actually know?

Cheers!

G8BAD has lowered his Cooper and it's on 18's. Not sure how low it is, but it corners like a beast! Ask him...

It's lowered 50 at the back and 35 at the front I think... something like that anyway.

And yes, it does corner well!!!

My Cooper has got SSP and 15" wheels, so it sits very low compared to a non-SSP and/or a 16/17" wheeled Cooper. I'm always rubbing the front spoiler when parking up against the kerb at car parks.

The only springs I know about are 30mm lower all round. These are from Eibach and I know these can be got at CarVogue.co.uk, they ain't that expensive either.

yes Dom your right (well nearly) It was -50mm at the back and -35mm at the front... but now ive got 10mm spacers on it and its been dropped to -70mm at the back and -50mm at the front....

that picture no longer does it justice as to how low it now is.....

and monsta, you thourght it went round bends good, just wait until you see it now.... the only thing that now scrubs off speed though a bend is the tyres.... so they will be changed for 225's or 235's if i can fit them in...

power wise, im undecided..... im interested in that 140bhp conversion.... but im also going to find out if i could put on an 'S' Supercharger without effecting the warenty?

could be a little loop hole as its obviously BMW approved.... and if i could do that then a superchip to take it past 180bhp....

but ive just got to wait until my insurance money comes though first....
