JCW GP Exhaust on Mini One(dyno inside without\exhaust)

Hi!

Probably i'm going to get(from a friend) a JCW GP exhaust but i have a question....

Am i going to loose power or to gain?

And would it be easy to fit?

Thank you!

Don't know how hard or easy it would be to fit, nor you're going to gain power. I would assume you will gain in the neighborhood of 4-7 bhp, just from "standard" gains that are due to the loosening of flow through any exhaust system.

BTW, while the exhaust may come off of a GP, it's simply a JCW exhaust.

I don't think that way....

I love my Mini One and my car deserves only the best, infortunaly? i don't have the money to buy a cooper S or a S JCW....

The no power part.....

Well after my car it's all properly tuned up, maybe it will arass some(stock) S owners!!!

But for that i have a long way to go.... but i have the time.......

Sorry you think that way...

To answer your 2 questions yes it can be fitted all the MINI chassis are the same ,spare wheel if fitted can be an issue as can the mounts as they change from early to late model.
You would however get a reduction in power as the pipe diameter is larger(too large for the one) same with fitting the cooper S exhaust to the one/cooper they fit but reduce power and weigh more.

In portugues is.. Muito Dinheiro = A big load of money!!

i tested my car and i currently have 130.8 bhp... however i am gathering some money to buy a pipercross induction and a good exhaust system(preferably the one that gives me more horsepower). only after that i will think in the throttle body... but.. is that expensive?? Will my fuel consumption be very high??

I'd suggest a GTT or Janspeed or Milltek manifold coupled to a Milltek exhaust. This along with a good intake should bring your car up nicely on power, especially with a new map. The exhaust will only gain you a few BHP its the manifold that eally does the job. I'd stick with a exhaust designed for the ONE or Cooper as the S pipes are different and the stock exhausts, although a little restrictive through the silencers are not too bad for sapping power.

Remember that the best induction kits are heat shielded not open cone filters. The KN and Piper cone only kits tend to sap power rather than gain it, unless you find some way of forcing cold air onto the cone to stop heat soak from the engine. They do sound nice though The minimania cold air intake is good for the Cooper and ONE on power ...or why not use your stock air box and intake to make something homemade and use a KN panel...alll you need to do is see if you can find a way offeeding more cold air through the stock intake box...and use a better filter than stock.

When i talked about pipercross, i was talking about the Viper Pipercross induction kit that is one of the best and it's eat shielded!

I already have a KN panel air filter!!

But the air filter box after a while is really really hot.... maybe i will do what your saying.. make an induction my self... but i'm not seeing how!!

BTW i have two youtube videos of my car in the rollers... Check it out and say what you think...

YouTube - Mini One Banco PotĂȘncia 1 ---> Dyno(computer)
YouTube - Mini One Banco PotĂȘncia 2 --> dyno (outside)

BTW2: A friend of mine gave me a cooper s(stock) suspension... Will i be able to put that in my Mini One??

Thank You!
