Smile Bluefin, what can i say!!!!!

just bought and installed a bluefin for my one and, well im overwhelmed!!!

the power increase after 4000 rmp is astonishing. definately the best £300 spent on my car. find myself smiling like a kid at christmas when i fly past coopers on the motorway. seriously if you own a mini one you have to get bluefin, it gives the one the extra power it deserves for being such a great little car. ill be smiling for weeks to come!!!!!!!

Drive it like ya stole it!!

Sounds awesome! Bluefin is definately top of my shopping list! Did you get yours direct from superchips? Are the ones from Lohen exactly the same?

Yes as far as i know they are the same from lohen, the only thing that can be different about them is if you had other mods such as an exhaust, as this will need to be programed into the bluefin to get the best from you mini.

i got mine from demon tweeks in wrexham, notorious for ripping people off but was the only place open between christmas and new year. staff there were not helpful at all, i tried installing it whilst i was at demon tweeks and it wouldnt upload the new map, i went in and asked for help and basically they said tough luck, youll have to ring superchips. i waited till i got home then tried again and it worked perfectly. now i plan to never deal with demon tweeks again for any future mods, far better to go to a small reputable firm like newministuff or lohen because the service is 1000 times better.

Hi guys....

Just out of interest does the blue fin put the power of a 'one' higher than that of a standard cooper? if so by how much?

cheers

No reason why not, although bear in mind your Cooper could already be putting out more than the official (and rather conservative) 115bhp stock figure. Superchips dyno'd a standard Cooper at 123bhp

Maybe some Cooper + Bluefin owners will pipe up now and persuade you either way???

i did have a look on here....but it seems that the blue fin is more used by the 'one' drivers than the coopers. i guess as it offers more of a an upgrade for you than it would for me

cheers

Cool, I am definately going to get Bluefin installed when I get my one. Never realised the outcome resulted in the car being quicker than a Cooper.

Although is the product easy to remove, as I simply couldn't afford to tell the insurance company.

Cheers

Very wise It's just not worth the risk

Tough to put a figure on what any increase in premium might be, so many variables. I am on a 'modified car' policy with my current insurer - bizarrely, their quote for the standard car was more expensive Work that one out!

I think I'm paying about 20% more than the cheapest quote I got elsewhere for the standard car, but that includes pretty much any mods I want to do and the cover is top notch. Depending on how much you're paying now, 20% may or may not seem like a lot!
